SUMMARY
This 12-lesson course equips current and prospective small group leaders to faithfullyĀ shepherd the people God has entrusted to their care. Whether leading a home group,Ā Sunday School class, care group, or ministry team, participants will develop a clearĀ biblical vision and practical skill set for effective small group leadership.

OBJECTIVES
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
Biblical & Theological Foundations (Lessons 1–6)
- Articulate a biblical theology of small groups rooted in the person and work of Jesus Christ.
- Define the purpose of a small group within the mission of the local church.
- Explain and apply core practices of Christian community, including: Discipleship through the Word, Fellowship and Prayer, Ministry and Service, Worship, Evangelism, and Multiplication
- Evaluate their current or prospective small group in light of these biblical priorities.
Leadership & Administration (Lessons 7–12)
- Define the role of a spiritual leader and its implications for small group ministry.
- Demonstrate habits of personal leadership, including spiritual disciplines, self-awareness, and the importance of adopting an organizational system.
- Develop a plan for selecting curriculum, cultivating hospitality, and preventing conflict.
- Cultivate a culture of prayer within the group.
- Implement clear and consistent communication strategies within a group.
- Identify, train, and deploy emerging leaders as a strategy for multiplication.
- Align the administrative components of a small group with core values.
