SUMMARY

This course is designed to teach foundational principles and practices for the faithful interpretation of Scripture. Special attention will be given to the role of interpretation and its use in leading a small group within the local church.

OBJECTIVES

• To gain a general understanding of different approaches to interpreting Scripture.
• To learn foundational principles for Bible interpretation.
• To grasp the sequence and roles of observation, interpretation, and application in interpreting Scripture.
• To adopt a process for the purpose of ministry through the leading a small group through Scripture within the context of the local church.
